As EU leaders meet for the first time in the European Council’s new Europa building, they will draft a declaration on the future of Europe. Marking the 60th anniversary of the founding Treaty of Rome, they should give a strong direction for Europe to improve the daily lives of Europeans, says EPP Group Chairman Manfred Weber. He expects the EU leaders will re-elect Donald Tusk as Council president. The summit should also underline the need for free, and fair, international trade that creates jobs.
