Jacqueline Petty with the Association for Dressings and Sauces has tips to take your Independence Day picnic menu from ordinary to extraordinary. CUT: (Petty) Mustard jazzes up macaroni and cheese, and complements hot dogs or bratwurst. Top your hot wings or chicken with the many varieties of barbecue sauce from hickory smoke to hot chipotle. Marinades, including salad dressings as a marinade, can also really add flavor to your meats, veggies and pasta dishes. SCRIPT: Petty says you can add some flavorful heat too.
