New statistics reveal generations furthest away from retirement are most concerned if their finances will carry them through their golden years. While the process of investing for retirement may seem daunting, National Retirement Planning month – taking place in July – is the perfect time to reassess your retirement planning strategies. Aron Levine, head of Merrill Edge says their new survey shows younger generations predict more stress than older ones. CUT: (Levine) In our latest Merrill Edge Report, most Gen-Xers and Millennials predict financial stress in retirement, while almost three quarters of retirees think they'll have enough to see them through retirement. SCRIPT: The study also found negative financial feelings can lead to positive actions. CUT: (Levine) Nearly a third of non-retirees are motivated to make positive financial decisions by financial stress, embarrassment or peer pressure.
