As of 15 June, people will no longer pay roaming charges to use their mobile phones abroad in the EU. It follows lengthy debates kick-started by the EPP Group some ten years ago. The European Parliament’s Rapporteur on this issue, Pilar del Castillo from the EPP Group, hailed the European Parliament’s role in this success story.
