Catch Up with Reality Show Star Trista Sutter and Find Out How To Help Local Schools

Release Date: 31 Mar 2014
As spring begins, parents are concerned about allergies, asthma and other seasonal health issues. While tooth decay usually doesn't usually make that list, the CDC reports that it's still one of the most common—but preventable—childhood diseases. In fact, it's 5X as common as asthma and 7X times as common as hay fever, and if left untreated, it can affect children's ability to eat, speak, learn and play.

The original Bachelorette, Trista Sutter talks about how she manages dental health for her own children and how she is teaming up with Colgate, Walmart and the not-for-profit organziation Champions for Kids for the SIMPLE Giving campaign, which provides oral care products to needy children in local school districts. Trista also talks about what she's been up to since her season of The Bachelorette, including her new book.

As part of the campaign, Colgate will also be donating $100,000 of oral care products to help school districts in need. You can help too by simply purchasing and donating toothbrushes, toothpaste and hand soap at your local Walmart from March 22 through April 7. All donations will go to a school district in your area.
