.mp3 audio package
ANCHOR LEAD: There's more to back-to-school than backpacks, pencils and earbuds – yes earbuds are now a back-to-school item. Brian Osuch has more on how the right technology can help the whole family gear up for the first day of school. (:60) SCRIPT: Technology Now, I'm Brian Osuch. It's back to school time and Laura Hubbard with the Consumer Electronics Association says tablets can help students both in the classroom and at home, and this year there are lots to choose from… CUT: (Hubbard) The iPad was kind of the first out from Apple, it's a great tablet on the Apple operating system. So, if you're not using the Apple operating system, you can consider another type of tablet… maybe the Samsung Galaxy tablet. That is on the Android operating system. But, what I also like about the Samsung Galaxy tablets is that they have a stylus – so you're able to write, able to use that to navigate the screen. If you're on the Windows operating system, Dell has a suite of tablets of all different sizes. If you're wanting a little bit more of a standard keyboard on your tablet, there's these great hybrid products. Asus has one, it's a touch screen that you pull apart and then there's a keyboard. The tablet and the keyboard come with the product so you're not having to buy an extra keyboard. SCRIPT: For more information, go to CE.org.
