ANCHOR LEAD: If your "Levi's" are too worn to warm your thighs, a new program can put them to work warming your home instead. Bobbi Owens has more. (:60) SCRIPT: Lifestyles, I'm Bobbi Owens. Emmy Rossum, Actress and star of the Showtime series "Shameless" knows what she's going to do with her old pair of jeans, she's going to turn them from blue to green. Cotton Incorporated recently launched the "From Blue to Green" campaign, a new way to recycle your old jeans. Emmy, tell us about the program. CUT: (Rossum) They take your blue jeans be it old denim, new denim, studded denim, any kind of denim product and they recycle them into UltraTouch Denim insulation, that goes into homes as home insulation. So instead of making them end up in land fills and throwing them out, you can do something amazing for your community and something that's eco-friendly. SCRIPT: Also a singer/songwriter, Emmy is thrilled to be a part of Cotton's "The Fabric of My Life" campaign. CUT: (Rossum) I have seen so many of the other campaigns they've done over the years and when they asked me if I wanted to write the new Cotton song, I was terribly excited. And it's so awesome to be part of such a cool campaign that's been going on for so long. SCRIPT: For more on the recycling process visit cotton-from-blue-to-green-dot-org. That's Lifestyles from Cotton Incorporated.
