Matt Rutherford Nears Chesapeake

Still image, 300 dpi
The vessel Float On becomes the first boat to welcome Matt Rutherford home from his solo, nonstop circumnavigation of the Western Hemisphere. Matt left Annapolis in June of 2011 on this historic 23,000 mile journey to raise awareness and funds for the Chesapeake Regional Accessible Boating (CRAB). CRAB is a nonprofit sailing program for people with disabilities. Matt's motivation for the trip is to show people, particularly those with disabilities, that there are no limits to what can be accomplished in life. At noon on Saturday, April 21st, he will step back on land for the first time in over 10 months at a welcoming celebration at Annapolis City Dock. For more info visit www.CrabSailing.org.
