Small Business Owners Don't Let Stress Get Them Down!

ANCHOR LEAD: If you're a small business owner, you have probably made personal sacrifices for your business, Kendra Johanssen has more. (:58) SCRIPT: Newsbreak, I'm Kendra Johanssen. A recent study of small business owners across the country found that owning a small business trumps other stresses. Small business expert and USA TODAY columnist, Steve Strauss. CUT: (Strauss) According to the May 2012 Bank of America Small Business Owner Report, owning a small business is three times more stressful than raising children. Small business owners routinely give up personal time, physical fitness and other personal priorities just to keep up with business demands. SCRIPT: Strauss says that despite the stress, small business owners are optimistic about the future. CUT: (Strauss) When asked about the next 12 months, 61 percent of small business owners said they anticipate seeing an increase in revenue and nearly a third of those respondents are planning on expanding their workforce over the next year.
