Las Vegas Goes Green for St. Patrick's Day

LAS VEGAS -- The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) turned the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas" sign green on Thursday, March 15 in partnership with Tourism Ireland’s “Global Greening Initiative,” which coincides with St. Patrick’s Day. This is the sixth year Las Vegas has participated in the global event.
Other iconic landmarks participating include the Colosseum in Rome, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the fountains in London’s Trafalgar Square, Chimo the Polar Bear statue in Ontario and the San Mamés stadium in Bilbao, among others. 
Local landmarks going green for St. Patrick’s Day include The LINQ Promenade and the High Roller, Keep Memory Alive Event Center, The Venetian and The Palazzo marquees, Mercato Della Pescheria at the Grand Canal Shoppes, Silverton Casino, ONE Summerlin at Downtown Summerlin and the historic La Concha Visitors Center at the Neon Museum.
