The European Parliament’s Industry, Research and Energy Committee has approved a plan for the EU’s Energy Union to ensure gas supplies in times of crisis. The EPP Group’s Rapporteur Jerzy Buzek of Poland says the legislation will commit EU members to help each other to assess risk and share supplies, as well as cut consumption through more efficiency.
