EPP Group asks EU Member States to boost services sector

The services sector accounts for as much as 2/3 of the European Union’s economy.

But it’s underperforming because of barriers making it harder for businesses to set up or expand into other EU countries.

The European Commission has come up with proposals to reduce these barriers, which MEPs are busy analysing. Parliament and Member States will have to legislate.
