EU’s Erasmus+ Student Exchange Needs More Funding, Less Bureaucracy

Release Date: 30 Sep 2016
At a hearing evaluating the first two years of the EU’s Erasmus+ student exchange, participants call for simplified paperwork and more money. EPP Group MEPs Milan Zver and Sabine Verheyen listen to testimonies from the European Youth Forum, the World Scout Bureau, the European Olympic Committee and other groups who say that demand is exceeding the resources of a seven-year, €14.7 billion framework programme helping to build skills and mobility for the EU’s Single Market.
