EU−Turkey summit − Women's rights − PNR vote delay

This week, Members of the European Parliament debated the results of the EU-Turkey summit on migration flows from the south. EPP Group Chairman Manfred Weber highlighted the need to put an end to people smuggling and illegal migration from Turkey to Greece and to help Greece. MEPs also debated women's rights. EPP Group MEP Constance Le Grip called for all European governments to ratify an important convention to combat violence against women. And EPP Group MEP Axel Voss explained why it is important for the EU to vote on a new Passenger Name Record law to combat terrorism. The Left and Liberal political forces blocked a vote on the law during this plenary session.
