ANCHOR LEAD: With the holiday season fast approaching, it's important to make sure that all of your guests… are invited ones! Brian Osuch has more with a pest control expert. (:60) SCRIPT: Lifestyles, I'm Brian Osuch. With 15 years experience in the pest control industry stay-at-home Mom, and owner of Environmental Marketing Solutions, Bobby Kossowicz knows how to keep pests from bugging us. CUT: (Kossowicz) Prevention is the key. You want to eliminate entry into your home by sealing cracks and crevices around the perimeter. Caulk those windows and doors and cut back trees and growth around the perimeter of your home. Don't forget to rake those leaves away from your house as well. SCRIPT: Kossowicz says we should remember the acronym INSPECT. CUT: (Kossowicz) The "IN" is for investigating the area around your home. "S" is for study or take a deeper look into the situation. "P" is for preparing a plan to most effectively solve the pest problem. The "E" is for eliminating the source of entry. "C" is clean, maintain a clean home and lawn. And finally the "T" is for treat. Treat for pest problems at the first sign of an infestation. SCRIPT: For more, visit Debug-the-myths-dot-com. That's Lifestyles from RISE, Responsible Industry for a Sound Environment.
