2017 GMC Canyon Denali, 2016 GMC Sierra Denali Ultimate: At the 2015 L.A. Auto Show

2017 GMC Canyon Denali

Los Angeles, CA – Denali is the ultimate expression of GMC’s professional grade style, luxury and capability – and it is coming to the Canyon midsize truck.

The 2017 Canyon Denali is being introduced today, ahead of its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It goes on sale later in 2016, rounding out GMC’s roster with Denali models across the lineup.

“Canyon is the segment’s first and only premium midsize truck, offering unparalleled capability and efficiency matched with maneuverability and refinement,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. “The all-new Canyon Denali builds on that award-winning combination with the distinctive styling, luxurious interior and elevated content that has defined the Denali nameplate since its introduction nearly 17 years ago.”

Like all Denali models, the new Canyon Denali is distinguished with a unique chrome grille and specific wheels – 20-inch ultra-bright-machined aluminum wheels with painted accents. Exterior cues also include six-inch-diameter tubular chrome assist steps, a polished exhaust tip and a standard spray-in bed liner.

The Canyon Denali will be offered in six exterior colors.

2016 GMC Sierra Denali

GMC is taking the range-topping style, craftsmanship and capability of the Sierra Denali to a higher level with the 2016 Sierra Denali Ultimate.

It builds on the Sierra Denali’s already class-leading attributes with an enhanced package of precision-crafted features designed to elevate its comfort, design and capability – and offer more in a growing niche of the full-size truck market.

GMC introduces the Sierra Denali Ultimate today, ahead of its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show. It goes on sale later in the first quarter of 2016.

“The premium portion of the light-duty crew cab segment has grown tremendously and the Sierra Denali has helped drive that growth,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of GMC Sales and Marketing. “This special model is the ultimate expression of Sierra Denali and therefore the ultimate expression of the brand’s professional, premium-grade truck, with a greater emphasis on the crafted interior elements, bold and refined presence and advanced features that have made the Denali nameplate synonymous with precision and exclusivity.”

Although making up only a small portion of the light-duty crew cab market for full-size trucks, market-wide sales of those with average transaction prices of $55,000 and higher has nearly doubled in 2015 – and have grown tenfold since 2013.
