ANCHOR LEAD: The car show season is off to a glitz and glamour filled start. T.K. Anderson has more from one automotive expert with the latest models and technology. (: 58) SCRIPT: Newsbreak, I’m T.K. Anderson. Each year the automotive industry comes together for the Los Angeles Auto Show and this year was no different. General Motors’ James Bell says trucks have been a big part of the auto industry’s recovery. As such Chevrolet debuted a new offering that promises fuel efficiency and technology integration. CUT: (Bell) What’s exciting for us here at Chevrolet is we are introducing the Chevrolet Colorado. This is a smaller pickup truck. Its about 900 pounds lighter than the standard Silverado, and it really kind of slots in as the third leg in a tripod of trucks. SCRIPT: What can people expect from GM when it comes to green vehicles? CUT: (Bell) As far as green cars go, GM has a full portfolio of vehicles. The new Cadillac ELR; kind of a perfect mix of a vehicle that’s going to get great fuel efficiency, but more importantly the thing looks great. It really kind of re-establishes the brand Cadillac as a real design leader. SCRIPT: Bell also says if you are a fan of all electric vehicles, you can also check out the Chevrolet Spark EV. That’s Newsbreak from GM. I’m T.K. Anderson.
