audio package, .mp3
ANCHOR LEAD: This year's Cinco de Mayo is extra special and one automaker is revving up its engines to celebrate. Brian Osuch has more. (:60) SCRIPT: Zero to Sixty, I'm Brian Osuch. Like Germany's Octoberfest and Ireland's St. Patrick's Day, the U.S. has also adopted Mexico's celebration of its culture. This year marks the 150th anniversary of Cinco de Mayo. And General Motors is joining in on this annual celebration of Mexican heritage. GM's Head of Consumer Affairs, James Bell. CUT: (Bell) GM has a long history with consumers in Mexico dating back to 1935 and we intend to grow our relationship with customers in that region. We have accomplished incredible milestones, thanks to the efforts and dedication of our dealership network in Mexico over the past 75 years. SCRIPT: The market for automobiles in Mexico in 2011 approached the one million vehicle mark. And for 2013, GM has introduced the Chevrolet Spark which has some color offerings named after items you may find at a fiesta. CUT: (Bell) We have several vibrant color choices on the all new Spark, but two in particular stand out to me. One is Salsa Red and the other is Jalapeño Green. SCRIPT: For more log onto GM-dot-com. That's Zero to Sixty from GM.
