ANCHOR LEAD: This year, one of the world’s biggest sporting events took place in the New York metro area, where fans from all over were welcomed with a very special surprise. Only the lucky ticket holders attended the big game, but thanks to the NFL and GMC, hundreds of thousands of fans experienced a free football festival never seen before in New York City. Head of Consumer Affairs for GM, James Bell… CUT: (Bell) As if New York wasn’t a carnival enough, GMC has done something just unprecedented. Basically we’ve taken over ten blocks of Time Square area and done something called the “Super Bowl Boulevard” engineered by GMC. SCRIPT: New York Giants’ Linebacker Mark Herzlich was on hand to support the Characters Unite program – which focuses on social injustices affecting the lives of many of our nations youths. CUT: (Herzlich) I teamed up with GMC to create an experience for kids who are going through something in their life such as bullying and that’s what this Character United is about; making kids feel empower, making them feel that they can be included, and giving them a positive outlook on their future.
