ANCHOR LEAD: The Transformers blockbuster franchise is back with its fourth installment: Age of Extinction. This movie features Autobots that transform into vehicles that are on the road today. Brian Osuch has the story. (:60) SCRIPT: Zero-to-Sixty, I’m Brian Osuch. Transformers are once again on the big screen in “Transformers: Age of Extinction.” And, once again the GM partnership with this iconic movie franchise has become one of the most innovative movie-brand relationships in film history. James Bell, head of Consumer Affairs with GM… CUT: (Bell) For this iteration of the Transformers franchise, General Motors worked very closely with Michael Bay the director, because let’s be honest, in this film the cars become stars in their own right. When we think about Bumblebee the robot, the yellow Camaro, when you talk to younger fans of the series, they see it as a robot before they see it as a car. SCRIPT: The film features a Corvette Stingray that converts to Autobot Crosshairs, a Trax and a Sonic outfitted as a Rally Car. Steve Tihanyi, Services & Branded Entertainment with GM… CUT: (Tihanyi) I don’t think anybody shoots cars better than Michael in Hollywood, so he really understands the beauty of the lines of a car. It’s been a great opportunity to showcase our products in these great heroic moments especially as we expand our Chevy brand globally.
