ANCHOR LEAD: Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day and many couples may be taking advantage of the weekend with a romantic getaway. Whether you’re staying near or far, Brian Osuch finds out there is one thing you should definitely have on your preparation list. (:60) SCRIPT: Zero-to-Sixty, I’m Brian Osuch. Are you planning a Valentine’s Weekend? Besides having the perfect card, some chocolates and a plan in mind for the night or nights, you should make sure your car is ready to go before setting out on a romantic getaway. General Motors’ James Bell says you can do more than you think to make an everlasting impression by doing something called, “Dating in Motion.” CUT: (Bell) “Dating in Motion” is really about combining three main elements: Dating Rules of Thumb, Modern Technology and Valentine’s Day Traditions. The rules of thumb are easy. Clean your car inside and out, don’t be late, and whether electric or gasoline, make sure you have more than enough juice to go the distance. SCRIPT: Bell says every car is equipped differently. And as for vehicle technology serving as your wingman or woman, he has a few ideas. CUT: (Bell) Use OnStar to help you map out your route to dinner. Set the mood in-transit with romantic music channels or make a custom playlist on your iPod, and be sure the temperature is set to keep things from heating up too soon. SCRIPT: For more, go to GM.com. That’s Zero-to-Sixty from GM. I’m Brian Osuch.
