Chevrolet's Success Story

The Chevrolet brand has been growing in Western and Central Europe, with YTD sales growth of +5%, outpacing the industry (down 8%). This is mainly due to the brand having extended its product offering, launching 10 cars in 18 months and continuing a product offensive in new segment, namely with the new Cruze, Spark and Trax SUV.

This means that Chevrolet is increasing its customer focus, winning new customers from other brands, by appealing to young families and offering value for money.

The brand has also focused on brand building and awareness via winning the WTCC Championships 2010 and 2011 and leading it this year, and the sponsorship of major football clubs like Manchester United and Liverpool FC, or the support of SOS Children's Village and the Arts (YCC and MOFILM).

All of this resulted in a record market share of 1.4% in Western and Central Europe.
