Andrea Amici scores double in Sepang Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe. Milos Pavlovic and Edoardo Piscopo are the 2014 PRO Class Champions while Simone Pellegrinelli takes the AM Class Title.
The Malaysian round also crowned the Italian Simone Pellegrinelli (DTMotorsport) as the new AM Champion, despite a double win in the AM Class for the Welshman Jake Rattenbury (Automobili Lamborghini Racing Team UK).
It was an unlucky weekend for the pole-sitter Mirko Bortolotti and his team-mate David Perel, with the latter spinning after the mandatory pit stop and crashing into the barriers while he was leading. The same bad luck stalked the former PRO Class leader Jeroen Mul. The Dutchman, racing for Automobili Lamborghini Racing Team Germany, spoiled his five-point lead finishing in fourth place in Race 1 and only 15th in Race 2.
Taking third overal place on the podium twice in the weekend was Alberto Viberti (Autocarrozzeria Imperiale). His Race 1 saw one of the best recoveries of the day with the Italian coming back from P10 to P3. In Sepang the PRO-AM Class was a 'land of conquest' for the GRT Grasser Racing Team duo Gerhard Tweraser and Tomas Pivoda, with two wins.
A positive weekend also for the Italian Giovanni Venturini (GRT Grasser Racing Team) who managed P4 and P6. Nice driving from him especially in Race 1 when he recovered from P10 at lap 1.
