Farano Captures Win Ahead of Record Grid at Watkins Glen International

Release Date: 29 Jun 2014
Farano
Canadian John Farano captured his first win of the 2014 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo North America season, topping of a record grid of 17 cars at Watkins Glen International.

Farano had three podium finishes in four races before earning the top spot Friday in his No. 63 Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo fielded by Jota Corse, representing Lamborghini Dallas. He started third and raced his way to the second position after the required caution midway through the race. Leader Victor Gonzales spun in the infamous Bus Stop, giving up the lead to Farano, who successfully defended it through the remainder of the 50-minute race. Farano pulled into a tie with Kevin Conway for the lead in the championship with the victory.
