Sant'Agata Bolognese I Silverstone, May 23';, 2015. It was a sensational day for Patrick Kujala at Silverstone, as the Finnish racer captured his third straight win in round two of the 2015 Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe. After pulling a stunning double victory at Monza, he did it all again in the United Kingdom by cruising from pole to win in Race 1. Driving for Bonaldi Motorsport, Kujala had to fend off the attacks of the Raton Racing duo of Edoardo Liberati and Patrie Niederhauser, who had recovered with an aggressive drive among traffic before eventually settling for second place.

Fielded by Team Lazarus, Sergio Campana and Fabrizio Crestani ended up in third place with a late attack on German racer Florian Spengler. The German drove another Bonaldi Motorsport-prepared Lamborghini Huracan LP 620-2Super Trofeo to fourth place, followed by Silverstone's new-entry Isaac Tutumlu, paired by Gerhard Tweraser. The latter was also penalized for a contact on lap four that cost Giacomo Barri several positions, who was battling amongst the top five with his Imperiale Racing car. Together with team-mate Alberto Cerqui, Barri then delivered a bold recovery to eighth place.

Loris Spinelli and Marco Moscato took sixth place overall and the PRO-AM class victory for Antonelli Motorsport. They were followed by Simone Pellegrinelli, driving for Imperiale Racing, and by the Artline Team Georgia pairing of Mikhail Stepanov and Harald Schlegelmilch who ended up third in class and ninth overall.

Swissmen Cedric Leimer and Laurent Jenny edged Shota Abkhazava (Artline Team Georgia) and Mikhail Spiridonov (Kinetik Racing Team) to take the AM honours for X Bionic Racing Team.

X Bionic Racing Team also prevailed among the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo cars with Cyril Leimer delivering a solid run to top a hard-challenging pack.

Teams and Drivers will be back on-track tomorrow for the second race of the weekend scheduled at 12:35 CET. The race race will be streamed live on the Lamborghini Squadra Corse website (http://squadracorse.lamborghini.com/en/live).
