West Coast Conference Basketball Tips-off in Las Vegas
LAS VEGAS -- The West Coast Conference basketball tournament opened Thursday, March 3 at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas with four women's games. Formed in 1952, the West Coast Conference has become a nationally recognized and competitive force while sponsoring 15 NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletic sports. In 2015, the WCC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships attracted more than 39,000 people. This past year, all 18 WCC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championship games were televised nationally; five men’s tournament games appeared on ESPN or ESPN2, 12 games appeared on BYUtv, two games were shown live on Time Warner Cable SportsNet, and the Women’s Championship game aired on ESPNU.
