Trust and Transparency Crucial as Asian Hedge Funds Compete for Assets

In an environment that is being shaped by the continuing global financial crisis, hedge funds in Asia with institutional quality infrastructure, controls and governance stand to benefit significantly from the increasing number of institutional investors that are eyeing the region for opportunities.

According to PwC's "From black box to open book - Hedge fund trust and transparency" report, these investors prefer to invest mainly with managers that have institutionalised corporate governance, robust infrastructure and operational and transparent controls in place.
