Tracy K. Smith, Rolex 2010-2011 Protégée, Wins the 2012 Pulitzer Prize in Poetry
Upon learning of Smith's selection as a Pulitzer winner, Rebecca Irvin, head of philanthropy at Rolex, said, "We are thrilled by Tracy's selection as this year's winner in poetry. She published Life on Mars during her mentoring year and we knew it was a very special collection. We are delighted that this incredibly talented poet will now reach an even broader audience, who will get to enjoy her unique and rich voice."
