2. CUTAWAY: VARIOUS OF THE VOTE ON PASSENGER'S RIGHTS
3. BERNADETTE VERGNAUD (S&D MEP, FR) SAYING (ENGLISH):
"I am very satisfied with the vote today because almost all the compromises that we had built with the rapporteur and all the political groups of the Parliament have been voted and the result is a report that is very much in favour and which stabilizes the air passengers' rights and that is very important. We had all tried in our compromises to reinforce passengers' rights so that the airline companies couldn't get around the law and that certain rights wouldn't be accepted. So we had to find a balance and we found it after many discussions and that what was voted today, so I am very happy."

5. BERNADETTE VERGNAUD (S&D MEP, FR) SAYING (ENGLISH):
"The most important thing is the strict definition of the extraordinary circumstances. Airline companies in the future won't be able to hide behind a technical defect, all the lists will be perfectly clear and exhaustive. Then in case of multiple flights, you will be able to take your second flight even if you haven't taken the one way as the first flight. That wasn't possible before now it is, so it's a good thing. Second point: the allowances and accommodations in case of flight delays are clearly defined and provided. Finally for low-cost companies and the passengers luggage's, all the information will be clearly given when the ticket is bought, including the price of the cabin and checked baggage as well as the very clear information concerning the one duty free bag that is acceptable in the passenger cabin with his or her cabin baggage."

7. BERNADETTE VERGNAUD (S&D MEP, FR) SAYING (ENGLISH):
"Additionally there will also be a person of contact at the airport before and after the plane's departure, for example in case of the airport's closure late at night, there will still be a person of contact of the airline company to help the passenger in case of emergency."
