Joy Wilson is the founder of the eponymous and award-winning food blog joythebaker.com Since its launch seven years ago, JoytheBaker.com has been recognized as one of the best food blogs in the world by The London Times, been honored by Forbes, and named “Best Baking Blog” by Saveur Magazine (twice!). She is the author of two books. Her most recent, HOMEMADE DECADENCE, received glowing reviews from the likes of PEOPLE, ELLE, FOOD & WINE, Refinery29 and even Taylor Swift. Joy moved from California to New Orleans, Louisiana in 2014… deep in the French Quarter, inspired by the people, the culture, and the beignets. This is where she does a majority of her living, working, eating, cocktailing and related horsing around. In the summer of 2016 she opened the “Bake House” a dual-purpose live/work space for other creative types where she hosts seminars, baking classes and creates video content. She is currently putting the final touches on a book about the art of brunching, due in early 2017.
