Steve Hallett, LNG Development Engineer, BOC

Statement on how LNG is stored and used
"The white tank you see behind me is a liquefied natural gas storage vessel. It is vacuum insulated in order to minimize any heating leak to the product when it is stored. BOC has developed a zero loss system that is designed to minimize venting of methane or natural gas during use. We use liquefied nitrogen in order to cool the vessel, in order to prevent boil off. And also we use liquefied nitrogen to condense vapor or hot vapors from the vehicle tank when they come into refuel. As a result we can offer a very high performance, reliable and safe refueling experience."
