Auto Futures Presents the Highlights of Auto Shanghai 2019

Release Date: 18 Apr 2019
For eight days in April the eyes of the motor industry are focused on Shanghai where one of the world’s largest industry shows opens its doors to the media, automotive industry leaders, representatives and experts and the public. The three main issues of Auto Shanghai – now in its 18th year – are electromobility, autonomous driving and connected cars. “China intends to become one of the leading markets for electromobility and autonomous driving. Accordingly, there’s great demand for corresponding technologies”, says Peter Bergleiter, Managing Director of IMAG GmbH, which has been the European co-organiser of Auto Shanghai since 2003.
Auto Futures – the digital hub of editorial and brand-owned content dedicated to the future of mobility – has gained access to a wide variety of industry leaders and reported on the ground from the fair. Its coverage includes an exclusive interview with Linda Jackson, Citroën’s CEO, Silvio Pietro Angori, Pininfarina’s CEO, Bob Kruse, Karma Automotive’s Chief Technology Officer plus interviews with upcoming Chinese companies such as XPENG Motors.
“You have to be agile because the world now is chaotic. And it changes so quickly. So many things have happened in the past couple of years and will happen in the next ten years that never happened in twenty years.  So the progress is enormous,” Citroën’s CEO tells Auto Futures.  Shanghai interviews available for download are: Citroën, XPENG and Pininfarina.
