Brexit debate, Dijsselbloem flap, car emissions, medical device safety

Release Date: 06 Apr 2017
At the European Parliament’s latest plenary session, MEPs approved a plan for Brexit negotiations which are to focus on the UK’s exit process first, then on trade and other matters. The EPP Group’s Manfred Weber notes that the UK can’t cherry-pick Europol or other advantages of being in the EU. MEPs also called for Eurogroup Chief Jeroen Dijsselbloem to resign over a derogatory comment on southern Europeans. And they approved new, tougher rules on car emissions and medical devices.
