New EU budget plan shouldn’t sacrifice farming and other key funding

The EU’s next budget plan should boost funding for innovation and maintain support for European farming, fisheries and internal EU development, or cohesion, despite the loss of UK funding after Brexit, says the Portuguese MEP Manuel Fernandes, the Group’s Spokesman in the Budgets Committee. His comments came as the European Commission unveiled its proposal for the Multiannual Financial Framework, or MFF, for 2021-2027
