We score with adidas at the Digital Impact Awards
We’re not usually ones to blow our own trumpet, but we’re excited to be celebrating another award win for TheNewsMarket.
Our work with longstanding client adidas, for the creation and launch of adidas news, has been awarded silver for ‘Best Online Newsroom’ at this year’s Digital Impact Awards.
And, we’re in fine company, as the likes of EY, Ocado, Travelex and Jaguar Land Rover are also winners. Run by Communicate Magazine, the Digital Impact Awards set the industry-wide benchmark in digital stakeholder engagement and recognise the best corporate digital communications work in Europe.
adidas required an online editorial destination for journalists; to equip them with the tools to understand what the brand is up to and why. So, our team set about creating an immersive ‘in the moment experience’ that serves up content to media users – fast.
The new news.adidas.com site replaces adidas’ previous online media centre and incorporates high-level design and functionality enhancements, as well as new features; resulting in an increase of quality traffic and content engagement.
Our Group Chief Marketing Officer, Matthew Williams-Neale, said of the win: “We love working with adidas, so it was really exciting for the whole team to contribute to the planning, creation and launch of their new newsroom – and then see our efforts convert to results for the client. To win silver at the Digital Impact Awards is the icing on the cake!”
We’ve been building and managing newsrooms for global brands of every size and sector for over 20 years – running regular research groups to understand exactly how journalists experience online newsrooms and to continually deliver innovations to clients’ sites.
