Creating tracing apps to safely re−open Europe

As Europe seeks to put the Covid-19 crisis behind it and reopen for business, the EPP Group is supporting efforts to create smartphone apps that can trace people who have been near someone who has tested positive for the virus. The largest political force in the European Parliament also calls for the apps to be interoperable across borders and to respect Europe’s privacy laws.
