FILA Germany Returns as an Official Sponsor of the 2016 Mercedes Cup
(FILA Germany) – The brand makes a triumphant return to the grass courts of the Mercedes Cup as the official apparel sponsor of the 2016 tournament.
If you were one of the lucky attendees to this year’s Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart, you likely noticed the FILA name was, well, everywhere. Continuing the brand’s long history as a top influencer in the world of tennis, FILA Germany recently revived its role as an official sponsor of the 2016 Mercedes Cup, providing outfits for all participating linesmen, ball boys, and ball girls. Additional brand presence was also seen in the tournament village, where FILA operated an immense booth that showcased items from the brand’s new collections. An outdoor space also offered fans the opportunity to perfect their strokes on a small-scale matted tennis court.
The FILA brand has a long history in the tennis category, once serving as the official apparel sponsor of tennis legends Björn Borg and Jennifer Capriati. Over its 105-year history, the brand has built a strong reputation for its ability to seamless combine style and design with functional and high-quality materials. The brand also served as an official sponsor of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, which took place in April.
