FILA Sponsored Boxer Dusty Hernandez-Harrison Wins USBA Welterweight Title
(FILA North America) - Congratulations to FILA's Dusty Hernandez-Harrison, the newly crowned USBA Welterweight Champion and IBF world ranked contender. Hernandez-Harrison stepped into the ring against Thomas "Cornflake" LaManna, in a quest for the USBA title. The fight served as the main event on CBS Sports Network, televised nationwide on September 15.

The 2300 Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania served as neutral ground for both fighters, as Hernandez-Harrison hails from Washington D.C. and LaManna from New Jersey. After 10 rounds, Hernandez-Harrison was the victor by unanimous decision. Judges scored the fight 98-92 | 97-93 | 97-93 respectively. The win not only marked the 30th of Dusty’s career, but also awarded him the vacant USBA Welterweight title and an eventual IBF World ranking in the welterweight class. Dusty's record now stands at 30-0-1.

FILA signed the Roc Nation Sports boxer earlier this year. Dusty wore FILA’s BX-100 boxing shoe for his fight. The footwear was created exclusively for him and features a navy and white colorway. Dusty’s shorts and entrance robe for the fight were designed in the brand’s signature hues, inspired by the pieces seen on 1970’s FILA tennis legends.
