Jaguar chooses new Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV as OE fitment for Jaguar E-PACE
Goodyear proudly announces that it has been chosen by Jaguar to supply original equipment tires for the Jaguar E-PACE, the medium-sized SUV of the British vehicle manufacturer.
Goodyear will supply Jaguar’s new SUV with Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV and Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV All-Terrain, both carrying the distinctive “JLR” marking, as a sign of Jaguar Land Rover’s approval. The tires have been developed by Goodyear engineers to meet the manufacturer’s specific requirements on low rolling resistance, low weight and good off-road performance and have been homologated as original equipment in the following sizes:
|Tire name||Sizes||Special feature|
|Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV||235/60R18 107V XL||Class A in RR|
|Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV||235/55R19 105W XL||Class A in RR|
|Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV||245/45R21 104Y XL||SoundComfort Technology|
|Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV AT||235/65R17 108V XL||Class A in RR|
|Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV AT||235/60R18 107V XL|
|Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV AT||245/45R21 104W XL||SoundComfort Technology|
Goodyear provided Class A RRC (Rolling Resistance Coefficient) for 3 of the 6 sizes, while providing 2 sizes with the Goodyear SoundComfort technology, a Foam-in-Tire solution that reduces interior car noise levels by up to 50% (- 4 dbA) on average.
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV is an Ultra-High-Performance tire specifically developed for SUVs, and is the latest model in the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric range. It focuses on optimized braking and handling in all conditions.
The Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV AT is a more off-road oriented version of the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 SUV. The tire is specifically designed for Jaguar and needed wider grooves for increased grip in off-road conditions and deeper blades for a better winter performance.
"Designing and engineering original equipment for new Jaguar Land Rover models shows once again Goodyear’s capability to understand and implement the requirements of premium vehicle manufacturers,” said Nick Harley, Goodyear’s Managing Director OE Consumer EMEA. “The E-PACE is the latest of Jaguar premium SUV to be equipped by Goodyear, showing that this long-lasting supply continues to deliver new successful solutions. Goodyear will continue to deliver the ultimate driving experience, providing Jaguar drivers with performance, comfort and safety in all conditions".
