Patrick Kujala scores double. The Bonaldi Motorsport Finnish driver wins Race Two in Monza Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo

The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe witnessed an undisputed protagonist in Monza at the season opener. Patrick Kujala set pole both position and seized Race One and Race Two. The Finn (Bonaldi Motorsport) won Race Two held on Sunday morning in Autodromo Nazionale of Monza.

The Lamborghini Huracán LP 610-4 Polizia (the car used by the Italian Police), was also s protagonist during the weekend. The car opened the starting procedure of the 60 GT car line-up of the prestigious 3hrs Monza Race of the Blancpain Endurance Series.

With Kujala on the weekend's podium were two debuting teams in the Series. It was second place for the Antonelli Motorsport duo made up of Daniel Zampieri (ITA) and Roman Mavlanov (RUS), and third step on the podium for the Vincenzo Sospiri Racing pair Kei Francesco Cozzolino and Shinya Sean Michimi. The Italian-Japanese duo also took the PRO-AM Class win.

There was a new podium appearance (second place) for the team Bonaldi pair made up by the former FIA GT1 Champion Matteo Bobbi and the Brit Jay Palmer, which stormed yesterday's Race One. It was third place for Raffaele Giannoni (Automobile Tricolore).

The Georgian Shota Abkhazava took his first 2015 win in the AM Class for Artilne Team Georgia. He managed to stay six seconds behind the Race One winner Mark Ineichen (Konrad Motorsport). Veloso Motorsport seized third AM Class place with Eugenio and Sergio Montez.

Amongst the Gallardo LP 570-4 Super Trofeo entrants, Race Two went to the Imperiale Racing pair made up of the Swiss Davide Durante and the Venezuelan Juan Cayo Azcarate.

The next round of the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo Europe is in just over a month in Silverstone, GBR, on the weekend of 21-24 May.
