On Sunday, October 22, at Portimao, the #46 Lamborghini of the Italian team Ebimotors won the GT3 Le Mans Cup Championship, during the last round of the season. The victory was conquered by Fabio Babini and Emanuele Busnelli, who, despite finishing the race in fourth place, prevailed over the Mercedes AMG-GT of Lee Mowle team in the standings: 104,5 points against 102,5, enough to took the win of the drivers and teams title in the European series organized by ACO (Automobile Club dell'Ouest), as well as the invitation for the 2018 edition of the famous Le Mans 24 Hours.
This victory arrived thanks to the consistency of performance of team and drivers throughout the season, during which the Italian duo scored wins at Paul Ricard and the Red Bull Ring as well as podium-finishes at Monza and Spa-Francorchamps. For the team Ebimotors and the drivers Babini and Busnelli, it was the first success in this European championship for GT3 cars and LMP3 prototypes, during one of the six rounds of the season taking place at Le Mans few days before the famous 24h race.
