Bicycling Magazine Names America's Top 50 Bike−Friendly Cities

Release Date: 30 May 2012
Cities across the country are making stunning changes to make it safer, easier and better than ever to jump on a bike. On May 29th, Bicycling Magazine will release its definitive list of the most bike-friendly cities in the U.S. The study surveyed only cities with 100,000 citizens or more, and was based on a variety of factors, such as bike lanes and bike racks, the percentage of bike commuters, and a vibrant local cycling culture, including savvy bike shops, active cycling clubs and well-organized advocacy groups.

Available for interviews, Peter Flax, Editor-in-Chief, Bicycling Magazine, can tell viewers where their city ranked and which cities are the most-bike friendly places in America. Flax can talk about the bike-friendly movement along with the huge spike in urban cycling that is currently taking place. Bike commuting is also on the rise and Flax can offer practical tips for people who want to start biking to work.
