Thomas Cook, Juncker, Extremism, Turkey−Syria

The European Parliament plenary session supported measures to help tourists and tourism businesses cope with the bankruptcy of Thomas Cook. MEPs took stock of the five-year Juncker Commission and called for tougher laws to fight extremism in wake of the deadly right-wing terror attack in Halle, Germany. Parliament also approved a Resolution calling for an end to Turkey’s offensive against Kurds in Syria.
