But before you fire up and settle into your lounge chair, be sure your outdoor space is truly summer ready. T.K. Anderson has more. (: 60) SCRIPT: Lifestyles, I'm T.K. Anderson. Whether it's a small deck, mid-sized patio or large backyard, you don't have to spend lots of time or money to create a relaxing and enjoyable area for entertaining. Josh Temple is a licensed contractor and host of DIY Network's House Crashers, and has these tips. CUT: (Temple) First: take care of the things you already have. Clean your grill and wipe down your outdoor furniture to make them look and feel as good as new. Then, add little touches like plants and outdoor lighting such as lanterns and colorful citronella candles. SCRIPT: A new Procter & Gamble poll finds only 25% of consumers clean their grills and only 20% clean their outdoor items, but Josh says using the right products can help keep the summer parties going well into fall. CUT: (Temple) Home Depot is a one-stop-shop for DIYers, but they also carry great outdoor cleaning products like Mr. Clean Outdoor Spray, Magic Eraser, and Bounty. These products will help get rid of the toughest outdoor grease and grime and keep things looking good all summer long.
