Euro NCAP Presents 'Avoid the Crash with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) Systems Survey'

For its 15th anniversary, Euro NCAP is organising an event that will focus on the availability of Autonomous Emergency Braking systems for car to car and car to vulnerable road user crashes. Over the last months, Euro NCAP has carried out a survey of car makes and models to identify which car manufacturer has which technology on offer and how the market penetration in Europe is evolving. On June 13, 2012 Euro NCAP will present the results of the survey on Autonomous Emergency Braking systems, at the Autoworld in Brussels. The event will gather experts, professionals from the automotive industry, EU policymakers, and important stakeholders for a debate on the progress and safety benefits of AEB systems. During the day, attendees will be able to watch AEB demonstrations by a professional driver and experience themselves the benefits of some Autonomous Emergency Braking technologies.
