Volvo Trucks – Setting a new standard in construction



Ricard Fritz, Vice President Volvo Trucks Brand, on Volvo Trucks' special focus on construction – from the original launch of the new Volvo FMX in 2010 to its latest innovations in 2015.
VO 1 In 2015 Volvo Trucks is raising its profile for trucks driving in rough terrain by launching several new features. Sync 1, Ricard Fritz Volvo Trucks has strong traditions to defend, and we are in the forefront of the segment right now. We came with the FMX 2010 and we followed up with the new FMX in 2013. And we are continuing this track with the news we have this year. VO 2 Recently Volvo Trucks launched I-Shift for severe duty applications, Volvo FH with a heavy duty bumper and Automatic Traction Control. In addition to these features Volvo Trucks is now presenting Volvo Dynamic Steering for trucks with dual front axles, Increased Front Axle Load, Rear Air Suspension for driven front axle, EBS for drum brakes and series production of five axle trucks. Sync 2 (Ricard Fritz) By making well-proven Volvo innovations also available into rough applications we continue to set new standards in the construction segment. Together they clearly improve both the driveability and the productivity. And by that make a big difference for the truck driver as well as the owner.
