Release Date: 26 Apr 2021   |   Shanghai, China

The Official German Pavilion has been a constant at Auto Shanghai since 2003. In 2021, 16 small and medium-sized German companies from the auto parts supplier section have seized the opportunity to participate and strengthen their competitive position on the Chinese market under the brand “made in Germany”.

On almost 600 m² exhibition space, there are renowned names such as Kirchhoff, Rheinmetall, Carcoustics, PWO, SingerTech, Bühler Motor, Isabellenhütte, Dr. Schneider Automotive Parts and Witol as well as companies such as Alfmeier, Computer Rock, FEV, in-Tech, Oledworks and SEG who all are participating for the first time.

Some of this year’s highlights from the companies that have already participated several times at the Official German Pavilion in Shanghai:

Rheinmetall showcases its latest developments for electric vehicles, including among others an e-motor housing and a battery tray as well as an electrical air conditioning compressor.

Under the motto “MAKING. MOBILITY. SAFE.” Kirchhoff presents its latest product developments like a hybrid crash management system which works like a protective shield in case of a front crash or body structures especially designed for e-mobility.

Carcoustics provides acoustic, thermal, electromagnetic insulations and lightweight solutions and wants to increase brand awareness in China with their appearance at Auto Shanghai. Mr. Yimin Zhu, Director of Innovation and Product Technology of Carcoustics, said: “Currently in China, we have established cooperations with various automotive manufacturers (…). We hope that with our localized tech center in Shanghai and manufacture plants in Shenyang and Langfang, Carcoustics can serve more Chinese customers and help them improve the performance of their vehicles."

Among the newcomers to the Official German Pavilion:

Alfmeier, a manufacturer of precision system solutions with valves, actuators, pumps, and controllers, shows new products like a roll-over valve for ventilation of the fuel tank in operating condition and a massage system with pneumatic air cushions which can selectively modify the contour of the seat cushions by cyclic ventilation.

in-tech offers comprehensive integrated testing solutions. At the show they exhibit for example the orangeSwitch which increases the degree of automation and utilization of HiL systems by allowing for automated changeover between control units at an HiL system.

The Official German Pavilion is commissioned by the VDA (German Association of the Automotive Industry) and supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) in cooperation with the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA). The organizer is IMAG.
