29 October 2025 - With just 100 days to go until the thrilling competitions begin on the snow and ice, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is inviting athletes, sports enthusiasts and culture fans to get ready to experience the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games, Italian Style.

From original Olympic content, through unique digital experiences and opportunities to secure a front row seat to a once-in-a-lifetime sporting and cultural experience, athletes and people from all corners of the world can get a taste for the next chapter in Winter Olympic history that will unfold from 6 to 22 February 2026.

Athletes getting ready to soar at Milano Cortina 2026

IOC President Kirsty Coventry had a special message for athletes when she visited the Olympic Village in Milan recently and was impressed with what she saw. “Athletes from around the world, we are in your Village and we cannot wait to welcome you here in a few weeks’ time,” she said. “It is going to be so much fun, so compact, so great that it makes me want to become a winter Olympian! We cannot wait to have you here.”

Debuting on Olympics.com on 29 October, docuseries “Athletes to Watch - Milano Cortina 2026” introduces a host of winter sports stars as they get ready to compete on the world’s biggest stage. Part I features six remarkable athletes, including freestyle skiing star Tess Ledeux (Beijing 2022, silver medal) and Emily Harrop, world champion in ski mountaineering which is set to make its Olympic debut in Italy. It also introduces rising stars freestyle ski siblings Flora and Miro Tabanelli and alpine skiing talent Lara Colturi, as well as ski jumping legend Stefan Kraft (Beijing 2022, team gold). The series gives unrivalled access to some of the biggest names and unique stories on the road to Milano Cortina. Part II will launch in January with five new episodes.

Milano Cortina 2026 will be the most gender-balanced Winter Games in history, with the IOC increasing the quota of places for female athletes to 47 per cent, up from 45.4 per cent at Beijing 2022. Female athletes will also be competing in a record number of events, with a total of 50 women’s events at Milano Cortina 2026, four more than four years ago at Beijing.

A taste of Italy to bring people together for the Olympic Winter Games

Crafted to celebrate the next chapter in Olympic Winter Games history, Olympic Rings Pasta* pays homage to the spirit of Italy – timeless design, craftsmanship and passion. Each of the four box designs – beautifully illustrated by Italian artist Marianna Tomaselli – showcases the thrill of winter sports against the backdrop of the host’s iconic landscapes. Within it, a unique pasta shape inspired by the Olympic rings: a symbol of unity.

A tribute to Italian hospitality, this one-of-a-kind creation ahead of Milano Cortina 2026 serves to inspire everyone to come together for all the unforgettable moments of emotion, joy and connection, and celebration of human potential. These are the ingredients that bring us together.

Bringing a taste of Milano Cortina to the world, renowned Chef Carlo Cracco joins Olympian figure skater Valentina Marchei in the first episode of “Drop In” - a new culinary journey where the love of food meets the spirit of sport. Together, they explore recipes, techniques and flavours from home, including a bespoke recipe featuring the Olympic Rings Pasta.

“Teamwork is essential, both in sport and cooking. In the kitchen, we have the brigata where each chef focuses on their part of a dish. Only when every piece comes together perfectly does the final recipe succeed. Every action counts, and when everyone works together, the result is something extraordinary,” Cracco explained.
