adidas today unveils the Agravic Speed Ultra Evo, the pinnacle trail racing shoe inspired by the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 3 and re-engineered for the unique demands of trail racing.

Built on record-breaking road racing innovation, the Agravic Speed Ultra Evo translates adidas' fastest racing technologies into a running shoe purpose-built for trails. Weighing an average 250g*, approximately 5% lighter than the Agravic Speed Ultra 2, it is adidas' fastest trail running shoe ever – delivering more than +10% energy return and +1% running economy – engineered to help runners sustain speed deeper into the course with greater confidence and stability.

Developed through a multi-year program featuring 13 athlete collaboration, the Agravic Speed Ultra Evo combines the expertise of adidas designers, engineers and elite athletes to shape every major design decision. Every prototype was refined through both laboratory testing and real-world racing, ensuring scientific performance gains translated into the confidence athletes need to descend, climb and perform on trails.

Trail running asks so much more of a shoe. Our challenge was finding the balance between speed, stability and confidence, and that's exactly what the Agravic Speed Ultra Evo was built to deliver.

– Korbinian Lehner, Senior Manager Footwear Innovation, adidas

Key product innovations include:

  • Weight reduction – Weighing an average 250g*, the shoe is approximately 5% lighter than the Agravic Speed Ultra 2, delivering our fastest trail racing experience yet.
  • Dual ENERGYRIM technology – Inspired by the ENERGYRIM innovation first introduced in the Evo 3, a new dual ENERGYRIM construction allows each side of the shoe to move independently, delivering greater adaptability across uneven terrain, improved stability and 10% greater energy return than the Agravic Speed Ultra 2.
  • Moulded LIGHTSTRIKE PRO midsole – A durable moulded LIGHTSTRIKE PRO midsole maximises functional foam beneath the foot for 15% greater deformation without compromising stability. Combined with a tuned rocker geometry and landing platform, it delivers smoother transitions and greater confidence across all terrains.
  • Engineered woven upper – A soft one-way stretch woven upper with an integrated debris protection collar and minimised stitching creates a second-skin fit, delivering secure lockdown, long-distance comfort and protection from trail debris.
