Hosted in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei (Jing-jin-ji) region and one of China’s six automotive manufacturing hubs, AMR has had deep roots in the area’s aftermarket for over four decades. As the show scales, its influence attracts visitors from near and afar. This edition’s AMR highlighted industry trends through an expanded showcase and varied fringe events, offering a platform for industry players to share views and ideas under one roof.

A comprehensive collection of innovative products and solutions

This edition of AMR converged the latest products and solutions from sectors like Diagnostics & Repair, Body & Paint, Car Wash & Care, Tyres & Wheels, Parts & Components and more. As the core sector of the show, the Diagnostics & Repair zone saw exhibitor numbers increase by over 30 percent. Here, Nexion China presented its brands, Bright and Corghi, and equipment for maintenance and repair shops, such as its innovative wheel balancing machine, lifting equipment and four-wheel alignment instrument. Vice President, Mr Jacky Li remarked: “AMR has been an important platform for Nexion in China. This year we welcomed many professional visitors, including emerging technicians, students from various vocational education institutes, and gained direct feedback on our products from end-users to support product upgrades and improvements.”

In addition, Yantai Haide Science and Technology brought its SUNSHINE brand, which focuses on four-wheel alignment instruments and related solutions to AMR, which featured advanced sensors and smart diagnostics to enable single-technician ADAS calibration. The company’s Marketing Manager, Mr Zhiwei Wang, explained: “Our goal was to showcase new products, and we saw strong visitor turnout from the first morning. We engaged with clients from the provinces of Shaanxi and Shanxi, as well as buyers from Central Asia, Europe and Southeast Asia.”

The Parts & Components sector also attracted many leading brands. For instance, Ironstamp displayed products for NEV chassis and thermal management systems. Mr Xiangke Kong, Domestic Business Director, said: “We presented our pipeline products for EVs to many overseas visitors, and AMR allowed us to efficiently convert conversations to orders. Commercial Director, Mr Werner Chan, stated: “Alongside gaining deeper insights into stakeholder needs, we engaged with key equipment manufacturers in Northern China, including one from Liaoning, and met many prospective clients interested in collaborating.”

The Accessories & Customising sector expanded as well, doubling in size, aligning with the uptake in consumer demands. The sector welcomed a variety of products. One highlight was Nantong Kal Auto Parts Technology, who presented its electric pick-up truck bed covers. Sales Manager, Mr Wenwang Bai shared his thoughts: “This is our second time exhibiting at AMR. We were able to connect with several clients ranging from customisation workshops, authorised dealerships and cross-border trading companies, who were very interested in cooperation, reflecting the fair’s professional network and its value to us.”

Debuting zones at AMR received positive feedback

AMR expanded two special zones to bring forward the latest developments. Among these, the AMR Training Workshop Zone addressed emerging topics in the transition to intelligent technologies, electrification and digitalisation through product demos. Shandong Dexi New Energy Vehicle brought cell testing and replacement equipment for NEV battery packs. Mr Jie Hu, General Manager, said: “As current NEVs approach the end of their warranty periods, battery pack maintenance and diagnostics will become a key focus. This zone allowed us to engage industry players such as maintenance centre operators and overseas buyers, from whom we have received much positive feedback.”

Here, the Used-car Restoration area also debuted. MIRKA China demonstrated robotic polishing and finishing solutions. Mr Yuming Fan, Marketing Manager, stated: “This edition marks our return to AMR after several years. The show allowed us to connect with OEMs and distributors who are very interested in partnering. One key benefit of the area was the combination of product showcases and demonstrations, which we believe enhanced our influence by presenting our systems and processes to a wide range of end-users.”

Another exhibitor, the Jin Liuhe Numerical Intelligent Sheet Metal Spray Course Research and Development Center, presented its digitalised solution for used-car restoration and sheet metal painting. Ms Xiqin Sun, Co-founder, commented: “We achieved our goals of signing strategic cooperation agreements with many companies, advancing industry-education integration, and promoting the development of industry-wide standards. It was a successful experience as we have enhanced our recognition, and we look forward to returning.”

The Commercial Vehicle and Road Transport Equipment Zone was highly praised as it brought together leading OEMs and exhibitors to present innovations across the value chain, creating a hub to explore the future of smart road transportation. At its centre, it featured models from major commercial vehicle manufacturers including Foton, Dongfeng Trucks, Dongfeng Liuzhou, JAC Group, Qingling Motors, and more. A key exhibitor, China Automotive Engineering Research Institute, an industry-leading evaluation body, explained its evaluation criteria based on the latest policy standards that focus on safety, efficiency, economy, comfort and level of intelligence, in front of an audience that included fleet operators, logistics solutions providers and drivers.

Furthermore, Anhui Sanlian Applied Traffic Technology unveiled its latest 4D immersive driving simulators, and hosted the “Ultimate Drive: Full Region Racing Challenge” that catered to commercial vehicle drivers and enthusiasts, highlighting the effectiveness of such equipment in shaping everyday driving and emergency reaction skills. Ms Qingli Qian, Marketing Manager, stated: “This is our second year exhibiting at AMR, where we aim to raise brand awareness and introduce our new product. The show helps us identify customer needs and present our innovations to driving school professionals by converging the value chain, in turn, fostering insights and cooperation.”

Another highlight of the exhibition area was NEOLIX ,a leading company in autonomous logistics solutions, which brought its X3 and X6 series autonomous delivery vehicles and related solutions, as well as its “last-mile” delivery service designed for deliveries from automotive parts outlets to repair centres. Mr Jianjie Zhu, Industry Sales Director, commented: “AMR provided an ideal platform for us to showcase our inter-city smart logistics solutions for delivering parts to automotive maintenance and repair companies. During the show, we engaged with domestic clients from Hebei, Shanxi and Tianjin, as well as Germany and the Netherlands.”

AMR attracted professional visitor delegations from a total of 58 industry associations. Among them, domestic professional bodies including the Nanjing Automobile Maintenance Industry Association, the Xi’an Motor Vehicle Service Industry Association and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Road Transport Association collectively amassed nearly 10,000 visitors. The Beijing Automotive Maintenance and Repair Trade Association’s delegation consisted of technical experts and equipment managers, as well as students from vocational institutions. Ms Jinfeng Hou, Deputy Secretary-General of the association, said: “This delegation of over 200 people far exceeded our initial expectation. The high quality of the show and its exhibitors strongly supported companies in understanding the latest technologies whilst allowing students to explore innovations. This created a win-win for the exhibitors, the show and vocational institutes, fostering closer industry-education integration.”

Beyond this, the exhibition attracted decision-makers from India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, South Korea and Thailand. Mr Naing Lin, Head of Operations at Myanmar’s Super Seven Star Public Co Ltd noted: “During the show, I identified several painting booths and automated vehicle inspection and diagnostics equipment manufacturers, which I intend to pursue cooperation with. I will recommend the show to my peers in Myanmar.” First-time Thai visitor, Mr Schwinn Chattaris, Project Director of IC Intertrade Co Ltd, also noted: “Through AMR, I liaised with manufacturers and assessed products in person, which has boosted my confidence in sourcing, so I will certainly return to visit the show next year.”

A diverse programme of fringe events

AMR 2026 hosted 49 concurrent events covering commercial vehicles and road transport equipment, advanced maintenance and repair solutions, and talent competitions, creating a platform for exchange across the industry that transcends both brands and borders. Mr Ling Li, Secretary-General of the Xi’an Motor Vehicle Service Industry Associations, who attended with representatives from local maintenance companies, repair workshops and authorised dealerships, praised the programme: “We joined the vehicle testing forums to help members understand policy frameworks and future trends, while the show floor and other fringe events offered valuable insights into the latest equipment and technologies driving innovation.”

One highlight, the Seminar on the Safe Application of Artificial Intelligence in the Automotive Industry, converged experts to share in-depth insights on how AI can support the transformation of vehicles from a transportation method to an alternative living space, as well as how OEMs can deploy cloud-based models to provide personalised smart cockpit functions for end-users. The session gathered speakers to discuss the safe deployment of AI models in cars, focusing on responsibility frameworks, risk management, and technological developments, supporting safer progress in the shift towards intelligent technologies.

Notably, AMR’s flagship event, the Automotive Aftermarket Conference held its eighth instalment on 12 April, bringing together specialists and senior executives from leading companies to explore topics like AI-driven innovation and opportunities in emerging markets, helping companies identify new paths for growth. A key highlight was Mr David Zhang, Founder of Shanghai Windesign Cultural and Creative, who shared branding strategies for automotive aftermarket service providers preparing for international expansion.

There were also three competitions: the 3rd Automobile Paint Finishing Vocational Skills Competition, Automobile Wrapping Film Creative Skills Competition 2026, and the 2nd Automotive Maintenance Case Competition Grand Finals and Automotive Maintenance Digital Exchange Forum. These events allowed emerging talents to compete alongside professionals, adopting a concept to promote training through competition. Another benefit was that both the participants and audiences could see various products in action. For example, Mariso Corporation brought the Spanish brand, SAGOLA, to the show, and sponsored the products used at the 3rd Automobile Paint Finishing Vocational Skills Competition. Ms Linda Shi, Assistant to the General Manager, said: “Seeing the participants of the competition using our spray guns to show their skills is a testament to the quality of our products. As a leading show in the sector, AMR enables us to connect with distributors and experts, exchange insights on technologies, and deepen our understanding of industry developments to strengthen our market entry in China.”

Ms Wu Qiaoling, Deputy Secretary-General of the Nanjing Automotive Maintenance Industry Association and first-time visitor delegation organiser, praised these events: “The Automobile Wrapping Film Creative Skills Competition 2026 displayed creativity, refined techniques and exceptional craftsmanship. The programme at AMR has been beneficial and practical, and I plan to organise more companies from Nanjing to visit next year.”

The show featured its highlights and exhibits through livestreams by partnering with some mainstream and trade media outlets in China. It covered a wider audience base, which garnered over three million views as of 16 April, and elevated the exhibitors’ experience. In collaboration with international trade media from overseas countries and regions including Australia, Malaysia, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan, and the US, offering exhibitors opportunities to present their products, technologies and solutions to global audiences.
